Ohio Safer Schools Tip Line - More Information

Ohio Governor John Kasich, as part of his comprehensive school safety plan, has collaborated with Ohio’s law enforcement and education leaders to establish the “Ohio Safer Schools Tip Line.”  Operated by the Ohio Department of Public Safety – Office of Homeland Security, this free service is available to any Ohio public or private school.  Elgin Local has registered to be involved with this program.

Students can submit reports about bullying, potential suicide risks, violence or other school safety issues.  This information is anonymous and is reported directly to a designated school administrator.  The Tip Line will immediately report emergency situations to first responders in our community.

To access the Tip Line, text or call 1-844 SAFEROH (1-844-723-3764).  The Elgin Local School District is committed to keeping students and staff safe.  The “Ohio Safer Schools Tip Line” will help to ensure the safety of everyone.
