Due in large part to an increasing amount of data showing minimal transmission of COVID-19 in the school setting. Under this new guidance students who are determined to be "direct contacts" while in the school setting or school related activities will NOT be expected to quarantine IF the student is asymptomatic and consents to wear a face mask for either the next 14 days OR until he/she has a negative COVID test 5 to 7 days after exposure. In addition to being able to remain at school, students who are "direct contacts" may also continue to participate in extracurricular activities if they are asymptomatic and have a negative test on initial notification of exposure and again 5-7 days after exposure.
Please take time to reach the attached document from the Ohio Department of Health and if you have questions, do not hesitate to contact your student's school office.
