I am the eighth grade Language Arts teacher at Elgin Middle School. This is my third year in eighth grade. However, I previously taught 6th grade for four years, 1st grade for seven years, and 2nd grade for 12 years. This is my twenty-sixth year at Elgin. I received my bachelors degree from THE Ohio State University, my masters degree from Marygrove College, and my Educational Doctorate in Reading & Literacy from Capella University. I live in Larue with my husband, Jimmy and my daughter, Logan who is a junior at Elgin. My oldest daughter, Madison, graduated from Elgin in 2017, and currently lives in Columbus, Ohio while being a soldier in the Army Reserves, she previously attended the University of Kentucky, but then, transferred to THE Ohio State University. I am looking forward to all of the great things we will share this year.
