My name is Karen Woolensnider and this is my 11th year as an Intervention Specialist at Elgin. I have two adult children, both Elgin graduates, five grandchildren, a dog, and a bird. I am originally from San Diego and moved to Marion, Ohio in 1991. My education includes a B.A in Social Work from The Ohio State University, Post BA from Urbana University where I received the Outstanding Education Student Award and finally, I achieved my Master of Arts in TESOL and Bilingual Education at Findlay University. While at Elgin, I have had the opportunity to work in every grade level with the exception of 6th, and now at the high school I am awarded the unique oppertunity of seeing the tremendious strides my students have made.
