I am the eighth grade Language Arts teacher at Elgin Middle School. This is my second year in eighth grade. However, I previously taught 6th grade for five years, 1st grade for seven years, and 2nd grade for 12 years. This is my twenty-fifth year at Elgin. I received my bachelors degree from THE Ohio State University, my masters degree from Marygrove College, and my Educational Doctorate in Reading & Literacy from Capella University. I live in Larue with my husband, Jimmy and my daughters, Madison and Logan. Logan is a sophomore at Elgin. My oldest daughter, Madison, graduated from Elgin in 2017, and is currently in the Army Reserves, attended the University of Kentucky, and then, transferred to THE Ohio State University. I am looking forward to all of the great things we will share this year.
