 1/4 lb hamburger

1 tablespoons taco seasoning

3 tablespoons water

½ cup cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1 cup shredded lettuce



HARD SHELLS:  Turn oven onto 350 to heat

Soft shells: griddle on 300



  1. In small skillet, brown and drain hamburger.  Return hamburger to skillet.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water to skillet. Stir mixture until water has evaporated and mixture has thickened.  Turn fire off.
  3. Hard taco shell – remove shells from plastic.  Place on cookie sheet.  Place in oven 3-4 minutes.
  4. Soft taco shell- while hard tacos are warming, lightly spray surface of griddle (or another skillet if at home)  Place soft taco on griddle for approximately 1 minute.  Flip shell and heat 1 minute.  Remove shell from skillet.
  5. Shred lettuce
  6. Place equal amounts of hamburger on each shell.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top of hamburger
  8. Sprinkle shredded lettuce on top of cheese
  9. OPTIONAL: tomatoes diced, sour cream, jalapeno or banana peppers, taco sauce.
