Position: Director of Student Services and Academics
Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree
-
Related/appropriate state of Ohio certification/license; administrative certification/licensure by Ohio Department ofEducation and Workforce preferred

Previous school administration/leadership experience preferred
-
Extensive knowledge and/or background in writing and monitoring specialized plans like IEP’s, 504’s, WEP’s, ELL plans
-
Thorough background in and knowledge of K-12 curriculum development, instructional implementation preferred
-
Experience in facilitating and/or providing staff professional development
-
Working knowledge of testing and accountability as related to school
-
Grants writing and grants administration experience
-
Three or more years of teaching experience

Valid driver’s license

BCII/FBI clearance

Negative TB test results

Provides staff leadership. Engenders staff enthusiasm and teamwork. Promotes a safe, efficient, and effective work/learning environment. Advances the change process. Implements strategies and time-frames to accomplish organizational objectives. Helps resolve problems.

Participates in staff selection and orientation processes. Expresses high expectations and provides support to improve staff performance (e.g., observations, consultations, meetings, etc.).

Administers the instructional program. Promotes academic excellence in a nurturing environment.

Monitors education laws, rules, and regulations. Keeps current with state academic content standards, benchmarks, and indicators. Promotes the continuity of the instructional program.
