If your child has been out of school for a doctor's appointment, at the emergency room, or is under the care of a health care professional, please remember to bring to the school the excuse and any orders that the doctor has given for the student that may pertain to the school day.
Medications to be given at school MUST HAVE a doctor's order stating that the school is to be giving it. It IS NOT enough to just bring the bottle and the medication and the medication WILL NOT be given until the order is received.
Also, we have had an above normal amount of students coming to school with crutches/walking boots/wheelchairs that have not seen a doctor or do not have the correct documentation from a health care professional to warrant the need/necessity for the apparatus. Please send the doctor's orders with the student if your child is going to need to be using an alternate way to go from class to class. An elevator pass can only be issued if there is documentation from a doctor for that need.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Mrs. Ute at your child's school.
